Phishing Scam Alert!

SEMI Southeast Asia wish to alert all exhibitors to be vigilant against phishing emails, messages, or calls falsely claiming to represent the Organiser or the event, requesting payments, sponsorship fees, directory listings, or exhibitor services.

Please note:

✅ All official invoices, payment requests, and communications are issued directly by the Organiser or our officially appointed vendors only.
❌ The Organiser does not appoint third parties to collect payments for listing services, marketing databases, or exhibitor packages.
❌ Any unsolicited requests for payment, especially those creating urgency or threatening consequences, should be treated as suspicious.

How to Protect Yourself

Verify the sender’s email address carefully (check domain names). Do not click on unknown links or download attachments from unfamiliar sources. When in doubt, do not make any payment and contact the Organiser immediately to verify the request. If you receive a suspected scam or phishing message, please report it to [email protected]

Grant - Malaysian Exhibitors Only

Marketing Development Grant 

The Market Development Grant (MDG) is an export facilitation in the form of a reimbursable grant. MDG was introduced in 2002 with the objective to facilitate Malaysian exporters’ core expenses in promoting Malaysian made products or services globally.

The maximum ceiling amount for Malaysian SMEs, Professional Service Providers, Trade and Industry Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Bodies and Cooperatives will increase from RM200,000 to RM300,000 per life time effective 1 January 2020.
[Note that all MDG reimbursements are subject to the availability of government funds.]

Matrade Endorsement Approval Letter

Further Tax Deduction (FTD) Scheme

Malaysia-registered companies participating in SEMICON Southeast Asia will be entitled to Further Tax Deduction (FTD). Kindly refer below for procedures of claim by MATRADE:
Details requirement please refer to the attachment.

In order to obtain the approval letter for FTD, each exhibiting company (Malaysia-registered only) has to ensure the following:-

  1. Official application letter from company to MATRADE. The letter must indicate the following:
        i. Company’s name in full;
        ii. Registration number (ROC No) and MATRADE membership number;
        iii. Name of trade fair participated (including date and venue);
        iv. Organizer’s name; and
        v. Contact person (PIC, contact no and email address)
        (MUST BE PRINTED on Company’s Letterhead)
  1. Company must be an active MATRADE Member
  2. Date of trade fair/ exhibition must not be more than one (1) calendar year from the date of submission
  3. Copy of proof of payment for booth rental (official receipt/ bank statement/ TT)
  4. Copy of invoice for booth rental in the event
  5. Copy of event’s directory/e-directory with company name
  6. Copy of floor plan of the exhibition with location of company's booth

Application Process : 

  1. Please courier the supporting documents to the following address immediately after the event ends:-

  2. MATRADE will inform applicant by email upon receipt of completed physical/ additional document required within 5 working days. 
  3. Upon successful assessment on documents and eligibility met, applicant can make payment & email a copy of the payment slip to [email protected] and [email protected].
    Each support letter will be charged a processing fee of RM100. Must collect withon 2 months upon notification.
