Chief Executive Officer, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA)
YBhg. Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim is the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), bringing with him decades of extensive experience in investment promotion and industrial development. He began his career with MIDA in 1986 and has since held various key leadership roles, including Executive Director for Manufacturing Development and Investment Promotion and Senior Executive Director of Investment Policy Advocacy.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated strong expertise in policy advocacy, investment evaluation, and strategic industry growth, with professional exposure in both headquarters and international offices such as the United States, Japan, and Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Malaya, specialising in Analytical Economics. Under his leadership, MIDA continues to strengthen Malaysia’s investment landscape and drive industrial innovation. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys reading, golfing and playing the guitar.
