Theo Kneepkens joined KLA-Tencor in 2005 with the responsibility to set up the new manufacturing facility in Asia. Meanwhile he manages the Asia factories in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shenzhen which account for approximately 40% of KLA-Tencor’s global output. Additionally he is responsible for the global contract manufacturing commodity within KLA-Tencor.
Theo started his career in the Netherlands as a development engineer at DAF Trucks. Before joining KLA-Tencor he was working at Philips ETG (now VDL ETG), a major contract manufacturer for the semiconductor and high tech equipment industries. It was for Philips ETG that he moved to Singapore in 2000 as the General Manager Asia Pacific, responsible for their factories in Singapore, China and India.
Theo holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Eindhoven and a Masters in Industrial Engineering from the Limburg University Diepenbeek (Belgium).
